Give back to your public lands by volunteering on this National day of service. Service projects will include trail trimming & maintenance, invasive exotic plant removal. Bring gloves and your favorite pair of loppers or pruners for trail trimming. Some exotic plant removal will include cat tail removal from the lake. Wear long pants, water shoes that fit tight and gloves. Prepare to get wet and muddy for this project. Other invasive plant removal will include seed pick up from ground and hand pulling. Please bring a refillable water bottle with you. You will need to sign in and register for projects. Free park entry and free hot dog lunch provided by The Friends of Oscar Scherer Park, Inc. for registered participants.
